Accounts Payable Manager

Accounts Payable Team Lead | 6 month FTC (possible to go perm) | £29,000 | Runcorn

We are working with a fantastic business based in Runcorn to recruit an Accounts Payable Team Lead role on an initial 6 month fixed term contract, with a strong possibility it will go permanent.

The business has recently won a significant amount of work so are growing at a rapid rate, and need an experience Accounts Payable person to support the function and help oversee process, payment and allocation of invoices across the business.

Your role as Accounts Payable Team Lead will include:

• Processing purchase ledger invoices in a 3 way match
• Overseeing the AP team to ensure invoices are processed, matched correctly
• Identifying errors and correcting duplication on payments, invoices and overpayments
• Preparing payment runs
• Being the point of escalation for the team, to deal with more complex queries
• Assisting with statement reconciliations
• Responsibility for direct debits balance, chasing invoices, and ensuring VAT invoices are obtained and processed
• Processing refunds and posting to system
• Managing PO approval process
• Ad hoc duties as and when required

What we are looking for:

• Strong experience working in an accounts payable environment, ideally high volume
• Someone who can lead from the front and enjoy working as part of a team
• Excellent attention to detail to make sure you and the team are working to a high standard
• Experience working to tight deadlines

As Accounts Payable Team Lead, you will get:
